| What: |
All cultures have used stories to promote change. Twelve Step groups use personal story to inspire change. Master psychotherapists draw on story to facilitate change. As clinicians, we can also use the power of story to connect with clients to heal and transform their lives. In this experiential class, participants will gain a theoretical understanding of the value of story and immerse themselves in healing stories. Both clinicians and recovery coaches will acquire specific, practical tools to incorporate stories into their work with individuals and groups. Particular attention will be paid to the use of personal recovery stories in the therapeutic setting.Come replenish yourself and rejuvenate your work through the magic of story.The only prerequisite for this class is having heard a story that you loved. |
