Silver Spring, MD – October 23, 2024 – The Danya Institute is proud to announce the renewal of the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) and the Central East Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC), awarded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). These centers will continue to provide vital training and technical assistance (T/TA) to the prevention and treatment workforce in Health and Human Services (HHS) Region 3, which includes Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
The Central East ATTC and PTTC will leverage innovative technology transfer strategies to enhance the adoption and implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) among diverse populations. Our approach will incorporate T/TA, learning communities, and engagement models tailored specifically to community needs. Additionally, the Central East ATTC will continue supporting the federally funded Opioid Response Network, employing Technology Transfer Specialists to assist experts nationwide in implementing EBPs in prevention, treatment, and recovery to addressing locally identified needs.
Robert Lubran, Danya Institute Board President shared “We are grateful for this renewed opportunity to continue our mission and expand our efforts to improve behavioral health outcomes for the communities we serve.”
